Rashtriya Military School and about RMS Coaching

Before introducing RMS Coaching we need to first understand what Rashtriya Military School is all about. Rashtriya Military School were established as King George’s Royal Indian Military schools to deal with the education of the children of defence forces. In 1952, the schools were rearranged on Public School lines and affirmations were made open to the children of Defense Service Officers and sivilians. In 1954, the school became individual from the Indian Public Schools Conference (IPSC) and continues to be a functioning part till date. The schools were renamed Military Schools in 1966 and its old witticism, ‘Play the Game’ was supplanted with ‘Sheelem Param Bhushanam’ which means Character is the Highest Virtue. On 25th Jun 2007. The schools got their present name “Rashtriya Military School”. The school has a few of its graduated class involving high situations in the Armed Forces and in different parts doing outstanding support of the homeland. These were built up at Ajmer, Bangalore, Belgaum, Chail and Dholpur in British occasions and alluded to as King George’s Military Schools.

Age Limit & Reservation Policy

Boys looking for RMS Coaching to take admission must know about the age limit in Rashtriya Military School , it between 10 to 11 years old for Class VI and boys between 13 to 14 years old for Class IX as on are qualified for confirmation. A half year (6 months)  unwinding in upper age limit is allowable for the wards of personnel killed in action. 

70% for wards of JCOs/OR of Army, Navy and AF (counting Exservicemen). 30% for wards of Officers of Army, Navy and AF (counting resigned Officers) and wards of civilians. 50 seats are held for wards of personnel Killed in Action. Note: 15% and 7.5% seats are saved for SC and ST in all classifications. 

General Guidelines

Common Entrance Test for admission to class VI and IX In December and is automated OMR based in subjects mentioned under the head “ADMISSION TEST”.

ADMISSION TO CLASS VI: A candidate should not be less than 10 years and more than 12 years of age on 01 Jul of the year of admission.

ADMISSION TO CLASS IX: A candidate should not be less than 13 years and more than 15 years of age on 01 Jul of the year of admission.

ADMISSION TO CLASS XI: A candidate should not be less than 15 years and more than 16 years of age on 01 Jul of the year of admission. Admission will be only based on Class x board exam results. No written exam will be held for admission to class XI.

Admission into Classes IX and XI is on the basis of available vacancies. Parents/students should also note that all admissions are in the category of Boarders only. No day scholars are allowed. Admissions are exclusively for boys.

Admission Procedure

Entrance Examination

Class VI: The Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to Class VI will be held in December. The Exam will be automated OMR based in subjects of Intelligence, General Knowledge, Mathematics and English of Class V Standard.
